oh well.. i'm just airing out my thoughts (and my classmates and friends' too) regarding their whimsical policies.. =) |
| really? hmnn, maybe they are reasserting their being a catholic university. maybe i'm old but i just visited the school this afternoon after a long while and i saw the many changes, the names of the hall the tiled floors the repainted walls, the new covered areas, etc. etc. i thought this is kewl! i felt proud of USC all over again , maybe like a parent, the school administration wants to impose some rules to the students ergo their children that they think would do them good - you said heels cut shorter right? i guess you can wear all your fashionable stuffos while malling na lang and not in school; and the tight pants? same thing i guess. believe me estrella, i've been a student and we were worse before - that was the height of the tuition rate hikes - the president was Fr. Rod too then, three of our students were banned from school for life after all the strikes and barricades. I was the editor-in-chief of the now defunct Today's Carolinian then. we deplored the school's policies left and right. but now some fifteen or so years later i realized youth has some boundless energy that can be misguided sometimes and i now realize more than ever the need for us to restore respect for authority and seniority - i sound such a bore i'm sure |
